You can be baptized at any age, you are always welcome into Gods family though baptism.
I believe that the person who is in question should make the final decision.
because the baby does not yet know about God and has no idea what is happening.
The church priest baptizes the child normally after 40 days of birth. Catholics and some other religions believe that a child should get baptized after 40 days of birth. But Christians and other religions believe that the child should choose when to get baptized. We believe this because when you get baptized is to be reborn and all of the sins you have done in the past are forgiven. A baby is just a baby, they have no sins. So baptizing them does nothing. And they do not understand what baptizim is. Christians and other religions, think that the child should understand what they are doing, and sometimes people don't get baptized when they're young, some people in the Christian religion don't get baptized until they're in their 30's, the whole point is that the person decides when they're ready. Because nobody knows when the person is ready, except for that person. Each religion is different though.
There are no biblical examples of infants being baptized. Read the book of acts and see what happens when someone becomes a Christian and is Baptized. The process should become very clear. Hear, Believe, Repent, Confess and then be baptized.
it doesnt really come from another domination, but they believe that you should be baptized because Jesus was baptized and he asks that we do the same after we accept him as our savior. but all in all, it is just another branch of christianity.
If you no longer have faith in the premise under which you were previously baptized, you can (and probably should) be baptized again. There is precedent for it in scripture: Acts 19:1-5 -And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism." Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus." When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Govern themselves, and that people should work hard and live in stable families
i can tell you what baptists say, they believe that he is the trinity, God, the son, and the Holy spirit. they believe you should be baptized as a professioon of your faith, have anymore questions message me
Charities receive a tax break. Most people believe churches should not be allowed to have a tax break.
The logical age for baptism would be at about 18, when the person has fully learned and thought about what religion is and means. Of course many who believe in infant baptism have their children baptised soon after birth. This has to with their beliefs about baptism. Others, as stated above, are baptised when they reach the 'age of accountability' which is not specified specifically in the Bible and will vary according to the person. I believe there is no "designated" age. When someone is to be baptized it should be when they know what they are doing and do it willingly.
No. There is no rule book for parenting, but I would say that a good general rule is that a parent should not "make" their children believe in anything.
A person can only be baptized once so baptizing in both churches would be redundant. Generally, when a non-Catholic marries a Catholic they are required to affirm that any children must be raised as Catholics before the Church will allow them to marry. Therefore, if they were married in a Catholic church the children should be baptized in a Catholic church. If the parents were not married in a Catholic church, then they have another problem. They need to regularize their marriage to be in full communion with the Catholic Church. They must arrange to have their marriage blessed by the Catholic Church.
