They have button eyes to show that they aren't real people like Coraline...
You are for the most part correct- call it weird, but i LOVE the movie and book Coraline, it's a very good piece of work, and i honestly wish i had wrote it- ha ha- anyway, they have buttons because the Other Mother made basically a bunch of rag dolls, who have buttons. Also it is because that's one of the focuses of Neil, that they had buttons, and as the previous person said, to show the major difference.
Coraline is a Great book and Movie, there's this other world and Coraline enters that world and finds her other Mother. she has to fight her to save her family.

well pretty much there's this girl name coraline and she moves to this new house and has a crappy life and her parents never pay any attention to her! then she finds this little door leading to a better version of her life with her parents only the care about her more but the have button eyes. then after she keeps returning her parents try to get her to stay there and kill her real parents. and her other mom is like some creepy spider and coraline has to get back to her real life, and in the end she does!

"Coraline" is a book suitable for readers ages 8-12, but it can be enjoyed by older readers as well. It contains some creepy elements that may not be suitable for very young children.
Some characters that readers may like in "Eyes" by KT Mohammed are the protagonist, Paul Vincent, and the mysterious and enigmatic character, Aisha. Their complex personalities and interactions add depth and intrigue to the story.
I think some good actors are Dakota Fanning in Push, Coraline and many more and Tom Felton (as Malfoy) in Harry Potter!
