They are less dense than the cool rock on top, causing them to rise.
Less/dence material rises
figure it out !!!
Heat and pressure.
Partly because most of earths water is salt water!
Yes. In that basalt is formed from rapid cooling of lava at or near the surface.
Mantle
It is the same symbol as Partly Cloudy, a sun partly covered up by a cloud.
Because it becomes less dense as it gets hotter. Less dense=lighter and therefore rises. Just like the wax in a lava lamp.
Less/dence material rises
A basin
Magma is molten or partially molten rock beneath the earth's surface and is lighter than the surrounding rock so it tends to rise. As it moves upward, the magma encounters colder rock and begins to cool.
The mantle
There is water close enough to the heat of the earths core and molten, that causes the water to evaporate making it into a gas that is trapped under hundreds of feet below the surface. So then the gas starts to create channels and escapes through the earths thinnest crust because heat rises. Sorry didn't wana get too scientific that would take research. I'm probably partly correct.
The igneous rock is formed when a rock that is solidified from molten or partly molten matierial.
Heat and pressure.
Partly.
Earths tilt
metamorphic slate
partly land and water
