Why do people ask the same question more than once on WikiAnswers?

The "exact" same question cannot be asked, because the system doesn't allow duplicates. However, very similar questions sometimes get asked because the folks asking questions don't use the Search feature to check and see if a similar question has already been asked.
Luckily, on WikiAnswers it is possible to merge questions together, so when new questions come in, the best first thing to do (for people who have the power) is to edit the question and make sure it doesn't have any grammar errors and that it makes sense. When we do this, it often triggers a merge, and we can get someone's new question answers by merging it into an older one that already has a good answer.

Once a question is submitted it can be seen or edited by people directly after it is submitted.

Why is WikiAnswers so important?
WikiAnswers is important because it is a question and answer website and it answers questions for everyone everywhere. A lot of question and answer websites don't allow you to edit answers but WikiAnswers allows you to edit any answer as many times you want. Once the answer is perfect and percise, the answer may be locked by a supervisor.
Why do you have to answer every question on WikiAnswers twice or is it just my laptop?
You should only need to answer each question once. You can report this bug in the 'Malfunction Discussion' in the Community Forum.

Assuming you mean the question you've just asked - you can't. Once posted it becomes the property of WikiAnswers. Even though I've answered it, it remains in WikiAnswers computer archives at their convenience.
Is it bad having WikiAnswers be able to trace your computer back to your house when you answer a question?
Only if you are vandalizing the site. Otherwise, most people aren't going to track a good answer to find out where it came from. But supervisors look for bad answers and bad questions and if someone does it more than once or twice, they will be blocked.

No, But You Must Be Signed InNo, you don't have to be a supervisor to edit a question on WikiAnswers. However, to edit a question's wording at all, you must first of all be signed in. Once You've Signed InAnyone can edit unanswered questions. But you must have a minimum of 100 contributions to edit answered questions.
How do you check to see if your question was already asked on WikiAnswers?
When you have typed your question, once you hit the submit button, the system checks to see if that question already exists (and has possibly already been answered). If it does, it will usually tell you.

Where do you find a list of Answered questions on WikiAnswers?
When you type a question on Wikianswers, the question will go under a category to the left called "My contributions." When you click that option, there will be a drop-down menu that allows you to click on "Questions (asked)." Once you click that, you can see all of the questions that you have asked as a user member on Wikianswers.
