There are several reasons that people worship Satan instead of God. While I do not know them all, because the reasons mainly depend on the person or group of people, I do know at least two reasons. The first reason is that some people love the taboo that is involved with it. Just like anything else that is taboo, there is a certain edge to the feeling of going against the grain. Another reason is that people, unfortunately can be ignorant and mislead about many things concerning God and therefore, out of some anger or dislike for God choose to worship satan.
Because they don't understand what they are doing.

The ones I have met felt constricted by the rules and commandments of Christianity (at least as they experienced it). A lot of Satanism is really the rituals of Christianity turned upside down, with the philosophy that the individual is in charge and doesn't need rules to tell them how to behave. Some have said that, since it was this supposedly loving God who invented Hell (a place of infinite and eternal torment for those who have a mind of their own), they want to be on the side of the opposition.

Why would anybody want to worship Satan if you do don't be offended but why?
Because that is what they like to do. Fpr LaVeyans it's a sensible, human system of alternative morality, focussing on individual responsibility and desires. Not worshipping Satan, since he doesn't exist except to theistic Satanists. Also, they just feel like it. Satan was also loyal to sins and such, so I guess it leaves more freedom to do what you want. Like, people can worship jewelry right??? Luciferians and Satanists. However, there are other cultures which worship a "satanic" entity. Some Egyptians worshipped Set, some Hindus worship Kali, some Norse pagans worship Loki, who were all more "evil" in the popular sense. There were the Yezzedis and some sects of Gnostics who beleived that Satan was actually the good guy: Since YHWH (the Old Testament God) created a world with pain and suffering, they believed that Satan (who seemed to act in opposition to YHWH) must actually be the good guy, trying to undo the damage by giving us Knowledge (the tree of knowledge in the book of Genesis).
