they probably have a lower immune system
I have an answer but iam not 100% sure if its righ so please do not use it against me for i am a 11 year old girl who dreams to be an author and die a teen. So my answer is because teens and adults have more contacts with people (like kissing and hugging for example). Do children do mouth to mouth with people? NO. So it is clear that teens ahould be carefull who their boyfriends or girlfriends are. Like what disses they have. JUST BE CAREFULL. And thats it. DESTINY :) XP :P

It's called Hypercondria and they are known as Hypercondriacs
Teenagers are influenced similarly to anyone else by family illness, but the pressures of school, learning where they fit socially, and other life-lessons and explorations can add to the stress levels of teens who have ill family members. Teens may express anxiety related to the individual(s) who are sick about their own future, about others finding out and judging them because of the illness. Other emotions can include anger at the whole situation or having to deal with the sick person, denial of the whole situation and seeking various distractions, and the teen may turn to drugs and alcohol as socially acceptable means of escaping their negative emotions. Overall, teens who have chronically ill family members may need to receive mental health evaluations for things like depression or anxiety that may be effects of the additional stress. However, this is true for anyone caring for sick family members, not just teens.
