  1. Thunderstorms result from the rapid upward movement of warm, moist air. They can occur inside warm, moist air masses and at fronts. As the warm, moist air moves upward, it cools, condenses, and forms cumulonimbus clouds that can reach heights of over 20 km (12.45 miles).

As the sun warms the Earth's surface, the atmosphere warms too. Some parts of the Earth receive direct rays from the sun all year and are always warm. Other places receive indirect rays, so the climate is colder. Warm air, which weighs less than cold air rises. Then cool air moves in and replaces the rising warm air. This movement of air is what makes the wind blow. All winds are caused by differences in air pressure. Fluids tend to move from areas of low pressure. The most differences in air pressure by unequal heating of the atmosphere. As the air gets less dense, its air pressure decreases. If a nearby area is not heated as much, the air above the less-heated area will be cooler and denser. The cool, dense air has a higher air pressure so it flows underneath the warm, less dense air.

Because oceans evaporates and form clouds, then ice crystals are form and it melts by the heat of the sun, after the condensation the melted ice crystals takes now as rain formation then the rain falls down and it is called as precipitation. Some of it has heavy rains with strong wind,it is called as tropical cyclone.
