Because this is part of a malicious media campaign to demonise the Syrian regime and have a pretext to attack Syria! This country has a coalition with Iran which is a common enemy for the US and its European partners as well as the dictators of the oil Arab countries.
The aim is to break Iran though breaking Syria, all in the name of freedom and democracy!
