Essentially the audio clip says that the players looked like cockroaches because of the antenna sitting on the telly which was appearing above their heads. He used it at training, and it snowballed from there.

People from New South Wales are generally referred to as New South Welshman. For whatever reason, within Australia they are also sometimes referred to as "cockroaches".
They are properly called just South Walians, although the colloquial (and somewhat derogatory term ) for them is 'Gogs'.
NEW South Wales is in Australia, not in Wales itself- they are just known as New South Walians, although there may be an Australian colloquial name for them.
The indigenous people of Wales are referred to as Welsh people.
yes there is a small town in wales named after wales itself it is in the south of wales and has the name of cymru.
I know for a fact that people in Wales are called Welsh.
A group of Cockroaches is called an intrusion.
Whales!!! XD

He didn't. James Cook named the eastern coast of Australia New South Wales because the terrain and general appearance of the countryside reminded him of southern Wales.
