The Midwest sees a high frequency of tornadoes because of its ideal climatic setup. In the spring storm systems cause warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico to collide with cool air from Canada and dry air from the Rockies, resulting in the formation of strong thunderstorms. About a mile off the ground a layer of stable air holds thunderstorm activity back, allowing instability to build underneath it. As a result when the storm break through the cap the instability will be enormous, leading to explosively powerful thunderstorms. At the same time wind speed and direction varies with altitude, which sets these storms rotating and also strengthens the updraft. This rotation combined with strong thunderstorm updrafts can then produce tornadoes.
Tornado in the U.S. most frequently occur on the Great Plains.
Tornadoes have occurred in all 50 U.S. states. In the U.S. tornadoes are generally most common and strongest in the central and southeastern regions. The primary reasons is that cold fronts meeting warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico frequently trigger strong thunderstorms. Wind shear then gives these storms the rotation they need to produce tornadoes.
Tornadoes tend to occur during late spring to early summer in the United States.
Tornadoes occur in many areas around the world by no region experiences more tornadoes than the central United States. No one really knows for sure how many there are in the US each year, but it is estimated that over 1,000 tornadoes occur each year in the US, although many go undetected and unreported.
mostly where the breezes collide so in the south western regions and sometimes in the middle states because since we are surrounded by coastal water and Canada which has very frigid temperatures the mixture of the two different air climates causes tornadoes

Tornadoes most frequently form on the Great Plains in the United States.
Worldwide figures are not available, but the United States averages about 1200 tornadoes per year.
No. Although the Midwestern U.S. often gets tornadoes, it is too far from the ocean to get hurricanes.
Tornadoes occur the most in Tornado Alley, a region in the United states that includes Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, South Dakota and Iowa. While tornadoes can occur elsewhere, nowhere else in the world do they occur more frequently.
About 1200 tornadoes occur in the U.S. every year alone, with hundreds if not thousands more worldwide. On average the U.S. sees 177 days with tornadoes every year.
The greatest number of tornadoes worldwide occur in the United States. Tornadoes occur frequently in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. They are a bit less frequent in the northern plains states and Ohio Valley. Every state in the USA has had tornadoes at some time.
when there is a severe thunderstorm
Most tornadoes are supercell tornadoes.
Yes. In fact tornadoes occur fairly frequently in Argentina.
Global estimates are not avilable, but in the United States there are between 1,200 and 1,300 tornadoes in a typical year. They occur most frequently in the spring and early summer.
Tornadoes can occur in any part of Virginia, but most frequently happen in the eastern part of the state.
