All you need is a valid passport when u travelling from India to Nepal or vice versa.
It sounds as if you live in Nepal. I have been there 4 times, and hope to return many times. One of the biggest reasons people may not visit is that they are afraid to visit, with all the political unrest and danger. It may also be that they don't really know much about Nepal and need to learn. Another thing may be the cost and time it takes to travel there.
