1. the author who wrote the first vampire book decided it would be a nice idea
2. it sounds cool
3. Transylvania was under the rule of Vlad III Dracula (Vlad the Impaler), and lets just say "Dracula" was the family name, as well as the crest of the dragon, and pretty much every other small vampire legend went along with his name.
(Vlad the Impaler was widely known for his torture methods. One of which was to skin someone's feet, pour sault on te skinned feet, and have goats lick that salt off. pretty cool and gross, huh?)
It's more likely the first and/or second one.
Also, vampires live in all parts of the world, not just transylvania. And that is because they have to spread out, so they'll have more food for themselves, and they wont kill each other off when they get into their constant p!ssing contests
Hope my info was helpful! ^_^
Yes, there is. I live in Transylvania, Romania, Eastern Europe. But Dracula and vampires are just a fiction novel.
No, only Vampire bats live in Central, and South America.
Dracula originally stayed in Transylvania for awhile. He gave rise to the interest of vampires due to his actions. I do not believe in vampires but I believe in people who will act as such, so yes there are in Transylvania.
Vampires are mostly associated with Transylvania. But if you're talking about the lifestyle, then they live everywhere. There's not a specific place. The IRS is where they work, though.
