There may be air in your pipes. This is common and can be got rid of by installing 'anti-hammer' devices. - ask at your local Plumbing store.
Air causes noise in water pipes.
This is nothing to be alarmed about, I have had this problem before when doing my rounds and the most possible reason is normally when the water pressure has been turned up either at your water meter or on the councils side in the road. Sometimes when the council does pipe repairs in the road, after switching the water back on they don't turn it back to the original setting and 9 times out of ten they turn the pressure up which would cause your pressure to increase in your pipes creating the noise you hear.
Common culprits:
Air in the pipe. Poorly engineered valve. Loose hanger brackets.
The quickest and easiest fix is to put a piece of felt (furniture foot pads work) between the pipe and its hanger.
water rushing through it or it breaking Well first of all ask yourself if the garbage disposal has sucked up any mice lately... or in some cases cats chasing the mice. Now there is a pipe cleaning recipe that has been in my family for a very long time and no matter how ridiculous you may think it sounds... it works :-) Recipe: First mix 2 tbsp of baking soda with a cup of shaving cream. Then, mix in 2 cups of vinagar and a tsp of car oil. Quickly pour down the drain. air gets in the pipes.
If air gets "into the pipes" How come water doesn't come out of the same opening that allowed the air to enter? The main way air goes into the water pipes is because of vacuum and there is many was to have a vacuum on a open non pressure line, because air is lighter then water it will always travel to the top of any fitting or pipe.Excessive velocity or because of water hammer. which is when pipes are rattling around because they havent been secured properly or when pipes have come adrift from their saddles.
Possibly related to a water pressure issue, like hammering. what do you mean like hammering?
Sounds likle air trapped in the pipes.
Plumbing plugs are used for leaking pipes and while the pipe needs to be repaired. A plumbing plug will make the job much faster and easy.
Copper pipes are now most commonly used in plumbing. Lead pipes were used long ago, and the word plumbing is derived from the Latin word for lead (plumbum). Iron pipes were used until relatively inexpensive copper pipes became readily available during the twentieth century.
You will need pipes and tools to fix the heating and plumbing in your home. Knowledge of how to make the repairs is a must to be sure the job is done correctly and efficiently.
A plumbing job requires workers to clean the pipes of a home, as well as make basic repairs. You can find a job as a plumber after you complete a course and obtain a license.
The heater motor is failing.

Agressive tread, bad alignment
without plumbing disease would be everywhere, plumbing has done more for good health than any other innovation
Without the help of plumbing vents, water and waste would not move properly through the pipes in your home. They introduce air into the plumbing system so there is no vacuum, and they carry out sewer gases which could potentially make you sick.
Yes. they open their mouth and make a loud noise that causes vibrations.
A plumbing union is used to make it easy to disconnect two sections of pipe. Soldering the union shut would defeat this purpose, and it would be more economical to use an ordinary coupling if there is no intention of disconnecting the pipes.
