If a car has a loud humming noise when accelerating, it could be that the air filter is missing. The air filter housing might also be loose. A loud humming noise can also be a signal that there is something wrong with the alternator belt or the fan belt.
No. The loud humming noise could be a wheel bearing going bad and it could damage the ABS sensor if allowed to continue.
This is water hammer and is caused by rattling pipes that are not secured down properly
It has no specific "sound". It's just a loud humming noise.
Fuel pump?
Yes cause it is cOnsiderd a noise pollution
This is most likely to be water hammer. The most likely reason is because a pipe has not been held down properly with a pipe clamp. It normally happens when a toilet is filling up or when taps are switched off suddenly. Its due to the water pressure in the pipes that makes the water rebound in the pipes causing them to rattle and make a noise
a humming noise is usually related to the fuel pump about to go. or u just have a really loud fuel pump and everything is fine.
I had a very loud humming noise coming from my 99' cougar. I talked to many mechanics and nobody knew what it was. I looked it up online and found two sources( listed at bottom) that said it was the idle air control valve. I replaced the part and my car runs great without the horrible loud noise.;
Oh, it is called a 60 cycle hum, i doubt anything is wrong with it.
need to get your wheel bearings checked
sending unit makes loud humming noise from fuel tank
