Why do we always hear of a German Jew a Polish Jew etc when we talk about any particular person. We never hear of an American Catholic or a Spanish Muslim etc. Why only when it comes to Jews?

Because there are a lot of differences in the jewisch community.
A spanish muslim and a german muslim are pretty the same. Some muslims belive in other islamic School traditions but there are not so many differences.
In the jewisch Religion it has an Impact on where you come from, from witch community you are.
So a german jwe is from the german community, a polish jew is from the polish community, and so on.
