Well, alot of people think that is is just those nasty old grown ups trying to make your childhood miserable. This is definitely not the case what so ever.
Actually, it's that messed up government we have. They think that in school, teachers should prepare you for anything. That would probably explain PE. I hated PE myself because who wants to run around and get all sweaty and exhausted? Anyways, even my teachers say this stuff. My math teacher said that we will probably never have to know of of the crap we learn because of the amazing machine we call the calculator.
So let's go to Social Studies. When are you ever going to be required to know who shot Lincoln unless you want to be a game show host? And if for some strange reason someone asks you who yelled "Let them eat cake", then we can pull out our fancy shmancy web enabled phones and Google it.
But like I said, teachers want you to be prepared for practically anything. They also want most of you to get into a good college and not be a failure in life.

It doesnt have to be expensive or anything, just something that was meant genuinely for her should make her happy. Something like a card, a flower, or anything that even though may be small, something that is meaningful to you and her.
Never ever put something that is not true on your application. You could lose your job. I have been asked for my high school diploma even though I have a masters. It all depends what job you are applying for. However you obtained the high school education you needed to get into college is what you need to show.
