H.R.H. the duchess of Cornwall is by right of her marriage the Princess of Wales, however, there are several public relations hurdles to be gotten over by the Prince and his lady, one of which is the fact that the Prince's former wife, the late Diana Princess of Wales was a media megastar; her tragic death brought most of the Western Civilization to a standstill for some days back in 1997. Because the Wales title was so associated in the public mind with the late "Lady Di", it was thought more tactful, more respectful of popular feeling for the Prince's second wife to use his secondary title - the duchess of Cornwall - instead. For a time.
because the "princess of wales" name belonged to Diana and that's what they called her: Diana, princess of wales or Princess Diana. so camilla (the woman who should probably take half the blame for ruining Diana's life), doesn't want to be "disrespectful", so she goes by the other names that Diana had but was never called, like duchess of Cornwall.
She has not been granted that title. It does not come automatically upon marriage.
Diana, Princess of Wales
Prince, babe, honey.
A Princess or the wife of a prince, suggests appreciation, beauty and marriage - it's a compliment.
A Royal Couple or can be Crown Couple if they are heirs to the throne.
Doubtful Diana was Prince Charles" first wife. She died in auto accident in l997. Camilla is the current , though they don"t call her this, Crown Princess. When Elizabeth II dies, Camilla will be Queen Consort ( Spouse, wife) this is not the same as a regnant queen. ( reigining, in power). Queen Mary of Ocean liner fame was a Queen Consort, as was Alexandra.
Call princesses by the proper title. As these are generally the second highest ranking royals, be sure to address them properly. Princes and princesses must be addressed differently. For a prince, say, "His Royal Highness, Prince of (Name of Country). For a princess, say, "Her Royal Highness, Princess of (Name of Country).
Probably Camilla within the family. In public her titled name.
