Some people do and some don't. It is a tradition to warm the teapot first. Same as adding an extra teaspoon of leaf tea, saying, "And one for the pot!" There is no real reason behind the tradition, though others may differ!

∙ 11y agobecause the tea is very hot. the boiling point the water is 100degree and above this ,250degrees,is the gaseous state .in case of hot tea there are both things .tea is boiled as well as it has vapour .as we know that the boiling point of an object is lesser than the gaseous state that is why

∙ 7y agoYou warm up a tea cup when brewing tea so when your tea is done and you pour it into a cup the tea doesn't turn cold so fast, so you use a warm tea cup to help keep the tea warm longer.

well firstly ... hot tea is hot ... so ... pouring tea from one container to another keeps the hot air trapped in ... as just leaving hot tea on the table ... all of the air molecules will rush out leaving it cold ... but when you continuously pour it into one container to another the air molecules cant escape because its going to fast.
