Wolves bare teeth to show dominance in the pack or to say "hey, back off". Usually when they bare teeth is when they are eating. The dominant male or female usually do this to put others in their place.

When one wolf bites another on the muzzle, it is generally a display of dominance--although it may LOOK quite ferocious, there is no pain or threat involved in these gestures--the wolf doing the biting is simply reminding the wolf being bitten who's the boss. :)

Wolves do not usually bite each others mouths although they do sometimes lick another wolf's mouth. This can either be a young wolf asking its parent for food or, if the wolves are both adult, the one who licks is showing subservience to the other.

When werewolves in their human form change into their wolf forms the wolf side takes over and they generally don't have any control over what they do because of this, they'll only recognise people who they know and might not hurt them, or they might stay away from them. If not they'll generally just kill or eat anything that gets in their way.

Does saliva help a cut.?

This is a tricky question as saliva it's self is an antibacterial, that's why cats and animals lick their wounds. However if one person bites someone else than your saliva works as lets a poison, helping cause infection. So if it is your wound you can lick it but please do not go around lick peoples wounds. It is also a low risk of getting aids if you have a cut in your mouth and you lick someone you is HIV+ blood. so yea don't lick peoples wounds.

Why do dogs lick people's skin?

It's an interesting question, so let's start with why they lick their own wounds first. First of all, a dog's saliva is very clean, as compared to a humans. And of course, their saliva contains enzymes, etc. which aid a dog in both cleaning their wounds and to promote healing. The second reason is most likely, instinct. After all, they lick their wounds, so why not yours, and for the same reason, just as a mother dog would lick the wounds of one of her pups, should it get injured. It's strange, but after a period of time, you realize that the dog isn't as much your pet, as you're theirs. That's where the training begins, and you've got a lot to learn. Don't worry though, it won't be long before you're properly trained. Seriously though, I wouldn't encourage a dog to lick your wounds, but I wouldn't yell at it for doing so. Just a simple pushing away at the muzzle and a gentle, "No" should be enough. Chalk it up to praternal/maternal instinct. Our canine friends are a devoted species, and they too feel that they must take care of their human pets.

What is dermagen cream used for in dogs?

our Veterinarian prescribed Dermagen for the exterior wounds our dogs would develop from "worrying" their itches or former flea bites. This product was fantastic, our dog's wounds literally had the appearance of pizza [top layer or fur and skin gone] and dermagen not only stopped them from being crazed with itching and the need to constantly lick their wounds, but it also restored their skin and coat.

Is antibotic cream safe for use on cats wounds?

Yes, or antibiotic ointment, which I often use. Just make sure the cat doesn't lick it too much---it can cause diarrhea.
