When choosing a running shoe the most important factors are how well the shoe fits and if it is comfortable. Men's running shoe's are no better than women's. When there was a smaller population of women runners in the 70's women's shoes were made to be more narrow and thus did not fit as well as men's shoes, but this is no longer the case.
