im not sure how many people do (if you do you are stupid) but they are hungry probably
-Actually, the above comment is wrong. People who eat their fingers are not stupid, they aren't hungry and there's a lot of people who do it. It's a stress related issue from many articles I've read online with people who have similar experiences (Like myself). Judging other people because they have this problem is wrong and therefore makes yourself ignorant or otherwise 'stupid'. It can be helped however. The first step is realizing when you do it the most, such as when you get into arguments with people, job related stress, money, family etc. Once you catch when your mind triggers the need for it, try to do something that'll take your mind off of eating your skin. Put your hands under your legs, grab some gum and pop it in. If it's severe enough that you cant, put on gloves or something that'll protect the area being harmed or affected. You'll notice right away when you're nervous and you're trying to chew on cloth. Make an effort to work on it every day and soon you'll be out of the habit and into beautiful skin. It's hard to over come but it is possible with enough will power.
For many people like myself is a habit, It's the same thing as biting your fingernails or people sucking their thumbs or playing with your hair ext. When people do bite their finger tips of the skin off it doesn't hurt for some people like me. ( but that's probably because i started since I was young and i still am. ( teen ) but no, you don't have to have medical treatment or all this other stuff. the people skin will grow back naturally. Basically it's just a small habit and is very unnoticeable except when they are dry or wet fingers.
Your fingers are going to end up being infected. You will have to get special treatment
When you cook the turkey the skin's oil/juice comes into action. When you bite into it the skin slips off.
No, most can not, but large adults may break your skin.
Rub your fingers together and it will soon come off.
This is not even remotely true. Someone is trying to scare you off biting your fingernails.
Yes, if they bite hard it tends to bruise rather than break the skin though. However, they very rarely bite hard, sometimes they like to nibble your fingers in the same way they clean another chinchilla.
Yes, they do. I pick up ladybugs all the time, and they bite. it's hard to get them off when they latch on to your skin.
Common sense.
bite them
Herpes whitlow is usually caused by HSV1. If you bite your finger nails while you have a cold sore and bite through the skin you could pass HSV1 to your fingers. Dentists used to get it on their fingers while examining people that had a cold sore, that was before they started using latex gloves.
Read the bottle for removal instructions. Generally, it will come off when the skin cells die.
