Grab some paper and a pen.
Right, now make a list of all the things you love about your mum.
E.g.:
1) she always understands my problems
2) she is comforting and easy to talk to
3) she doesn't embarrass me in front of my friends
4) she buys me cool clothes (i dunno how old you are?!)
5) she does my cooking and cleaning (again, might not be true in your case)
etc. Try and list about 10-20 - just as many as possible.
Now look back at the list. Since your mum does/has done all these wonderful things for you, don't you think you should show your appreciation by giving her a special day ... a day to celebrate the many things your mother does to make your life special?
Well, that is what Mothering Sunday, or Mother's Day, is for. Children or adults of any age give their mother a gift to show how much they love them - and it is never nearly enough to thank them, but it is a small present, often flowers, a card, chocolates or wine, to thank them for their hard work with raising you - their child.
Well, why else? ;)
To honor and celebrate the many sacrifices that your mother made for your life.
yeah not just for all her sacrifices but for being a Mother who brought us here in the world. without her what would this world will be.
Mothers and their families.
they celebrate it like American style mothers day(:
To celebrate all the wonderful mothers around the world.
because we love our mother!

Not everyone celebrates mothers day, for personal reasons. But, mothers and women today play a big role in our community, I feel that everyone should celebrate that!
