The force of the lift accelerating you upward is added to the force dur to gravity. You feel this as added weight. The same effect happens when it stops moving going downward, and the opposite occurs when you begin going down or stop going up. You are not resisting the force of gravity and you do not feel the weight; for some of that time, you are actually freefall.
It depends if you are going up or down :)If you are going up, that's extra gravity pressure but If you are going down you are lighter. For example if you going down very fast, with plane it is possible to feel like you are in space. 0 gravity :D

An elevator going up is increasing its potential energy. This energy and some kinetic energy to speed up the elevator in its way up comes from an electric motor that pulls the lifting cables that hold the elevator.
just look at it and think "I am going to lift this thing up, no problem." Then bend down, put one hand under the bottom and wrap one hand around the side, let out with a bellow and lift it up! This technique works best with no water left in the machine - also make sure all hoses are disconnected and the power cord is unpluged.

heavier goes faster
The increase in your weight when the lift starts going up or stops going down,as well as the decrease in your weight when the lift stops going up or startsgoing down, is[ (your mass) x (acceleration of the lift) ] .Your mass is numerically equal to (0.4536 x your weight in pounds), or elseequal to your "weight" in kilograms if you're unfortunate enough to havebeen taught to express it in that fashion.

You squeeze your abs, butt, thieghs (basically everything), hit a high v (you should be able to see you fist just barely out of your periferial vision) and lift up through your shoulders keeping your chest up. Most importantly BREATHE. If you hold you breath it makes you feel heavier
The cost of a personnel lift that can lift 2 people up to 400 pounds about 30 feet is going to be around $1,500.00 for a refurbished to about $6,000.00 for a brand new one and the is a scissor lift.
OK, the reason you just gained 3 pounds is because your muscles tighten and they get swollen because they are not used to being put under that much strain. If you keep up your work out then your muscles will get used to it and then you would be able to lift heavier objects and keep improving your workout.

A bird flying can carry more than its own weight, up to half of its total weight. For example, an eagle can lift off with a fish heavier than itself, provided it does not weigh half than its total weight.
