You aren't getting sick from actually having sex, but rather with being exposed to bacteria and infections with partners via kissing, etc. You should consider not being with someone intimately if they or yourself are experiencing symptoms of being sick as this is an easy way to pass it along to one another. If you frequently kiss and are close then you can actually keep one another sick as you continually pass the sickness back and forth.
