Through my research i'v come to the conclusion that is it vasoconstriction, different people hold fat in different areas but majority of people hold fat from the lumbar region, around to the beginning of the oblique region. This fat is thought to be stored specifically for protection and insulation of vital organs. Going back to the point, there are area's of fat across the body that have poor blood flow due to vasoconstriction or simply the fact that the fat cells do not consist of many blood vessels. Due to these reason the lumbar region at times will feel cold incomparison to the rest of the body.
