My friend, you have answered your own question "Ignorance". Why should people worry about going to Hell if they are ignorant of it's existance? One has to know that there is a place called Hell before they will sit up and take notice. They often say that they make their own hell upon the earth, how therefore can there be two? So long as the people live in ignorance the pathway to hell will always have its travellers.
