This is a strange question. You obviously need land to live because you can not live in the sea for sustained periods of time.
No!?.
on land they will die because they need water to live
Salamanders are amphibious and need to live on land and in the water.
because they need to eat plants and build shelter which require land
amphibians need both land and water to survive most of them spend some part of their lives in water and some on land.
they can't live on land because they need to grow in water
Terrestrial animals have a few unique characteristics. For one, they have to live on land, which is where the name, "terrestrial" comes from. They also need to breathe air to survive on land. They have to have some kind of mobility that allows them to live on land like legs.
The land would need to be at least 1 acre and it would need to have shelter for the animal and a food and water supply.
An alligator couldn't live on land for the entire life but they couldn't live in water for the rest of there life
Amphibious - animals that live on land and water are amphibians (although technically amphibians need to return to water to reproduce/lay eggs)
sun water air nutrients
a small patch of land will due.
