Most motors need new head bolts when you do the head gasket. The bolts are stretch bolts - they are stretched just beyond their elastic limit.
Imagine a little coil spring - pull it and let go, pull it again and let go. You are within the elastic limit limits of the metal and the spring. Pull it real hard and it stretches and doesn't go back - you have exceeded the elastic limit and gone into the plastic limit.
The reason is the bolts can be much thinner and lighter - lighter and thinner means less weight and your motor goes faster.
Don't reuse the old ones - it will end in tears!
Yes, always install new head bolts.
Yes, I recommend you install new head bolts.
No you do not.

It is always a good idea to replace the head bolts with new ones and is cheap insurance.
Yes, it is generally recommended to use new head bolts when reassembling the cylinder head on a 2000 Kia Sportage with a 2.0 engine. Head bolts are often torque-to-yield (TTY) fasteners, meaning they stretch during installation and should not be reused. Using new bolts helps ensure proper sealing and prevents issues such as head gasket failure or warping of the cylinder head. Always refer to the manufacturer's specifications for the best practices in your specific situation.
the longer (new bolts) are to torqued to 48lbs and the shorter ones are to be torqued to 45lbs then turn the bolts an additional 90 degrees the bolts need to be replaced with new one because they are streched when you torque them down
Yes, replace the head bolts with new ones.
You will need the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets. I would also install new head bolts.
