∙ 12y agoThe oil that you use in the modern car has many qualities that from viscosity to the pressures that it can withstand and protect the metal components and theoretically it should last a lifetime. However when combustion is produced to give the engine the power it also bypasses the rings on the piston which dilutes the oil with fuel and the carbon makes the oil dirty and the quality of oil has deteriorated. Although the filter removes many particles and cannot eliminate all the unclean and diluted parts.
