If you are interested in becoming the team leader or team captain, looking presentable is a helpful thing. Now, this does not mean to doll up in make-up or body sprays and gel up your hair every day. When you need to look presentable, this simply means that you shouldn't show up to practice wearing clothes that aren't fit for the activity, or with a messy hair that presents you as somebody who just woke up. Wash your face, take a shower (don't be stinky), wear deodorant, and comb your hair! You don't need to be pretty, handsome, or anything above and beyond. A good coach will deterring team leader positions based on leadership and skill.
yes because no only they have to look presentable but they have to give a good impression in front of the other people inside the congress. yes, they look like regular people because everybody can dress formal if they desire, but to look good in front of the congress you need to look your best to give a good impression
A great customer experience feels wonderful. It is when the person giving the experience treats the customer with respect and kindness above and beyond what they need to. They look and feel proud about their job.

You want to look presentable and professional. 'Less is more' in this case, it is perfectly acceptable to wear makeup to an interview, it can make you look classy and like you know what you are doing however too much can make you look 'chavy' and unattractive, even if you are naturally very pretty. Subtlety is the best way forwards here, apply a little foundation if you need it and press powder, mascara (not too much) and a understated lipstick/lip-gloss. You want to enhance your features and look presentable, showing that you care about your appearance but not too much, you know how to dress.
