Well, first of all...
God wanted to have a relationship with us. He didnt want to create mindless robots that said whatever he wanted them to. He wanted us to have a choice, to have will.
If we have will, like him, then why don't we look like him? If not, similar? We cant necessarily LOOK like God, kinda obvious for all those believers.
So, with that in mind. What if we looked different then we do now? I mean, we are all used to what humans look like and ARE like. If we looked different then we do now, itd be pretty weird.
I know this isn't the BEST answer, Im an amateur to this considering this is the first answer Ive posted. But anyways, I hope you get the point or are able to figure it out yourself. :D
Because we created him in our own image and our alibi had to match to make the thing plausible.
Genesis 1:26, 27 - Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.[NKJV]
It means that ; God thought that we would be the most evovled and smart, so he said that if humans(the smartest and most evolved) were to be in his own body image, we could better succeed
I would say that we are all capable of truth whether or not we are created in God's image.
God said "good" twice on the sixth day of creation when he created animals and then created man and woman. He saw that it was good when he created the animals and again when he created humans in his own image.
No, God Made Jesus in his own image, but as a son. A.K.A "son of god"
Genesis 1:27-31 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them......then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixthday.
It says in the bible that God made man in His image. Nowhere does it say what he baed animals off of. We can only assume that they were not based off of anything and were originally created.
In genisis 1 i think it says god created us in his image. Hope this helps you brother.
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." Genesis 1 [New International Version (Bible)]
Because, God created everything, and he then created an image in himself, a man (Adam), and then Adam needed a lover so he created woman (Eve).
God made man special of all the animals. He made man in his own image. He wanted man to be like him. What went wrong? Adam sinned.
It is hard to say. God made humans out of his own image I doubt unless they have changed themselves that angels are any different.
