Many of the troops who supported North Korea were Chinese, while many of the troops who fought for South Korea were American.
In Korea they have an American base for people from America. I live in Korea and I've been to the base and 30% of the base are Koreans and 70% are Americans.
The only nation bordering China, Russia, and South Korea is North Korea.

Japan has no bordering countries since it is made of islands. The five closest countries to Japan are (in order) Russia, South Korea, North Korea, China, and Taiwan. North and South Korea, Russia and China.
