I am pretty sure that sugar gliders ARE legal in Michigan
Otto Lilienthal was a German engineer, and the first person to make several documented flights using gliders. Octave Chanute was a civil engineer as well as a bridge designer. He offered Orville and Wilbur Wright advice when they were building their first successful airplane.
The Wright brothers built at least three gliders before the Wright Flyer. They built the gliders in 1900, 1901, and 1902. They incorporated in their design ideas from other pioneers of the time such as Augustus Herring, Otto Lilienthal, Octave Chanute, and George Cayley. Many gliders were built before the Wright brothers built their airplanes, but they were built by other pioneers.

The German engineer Otto Von Lilienthal is best-considered the father of the modern Glider, of the hang- or semi-wearable type. Gustave Chanute, who lived into the Twentieth century went for muliplane designs some having fuselages and vaguely suggesting the huge- multi-winged Caproni Bomber of l92l (and earlier variations) Lilienthal died in a fall (fatal accident in I believe l896) -Chanute lived into the teens or twenties- as an old man, he was originally a Civil Engineer- designed Bridges, etc.
All gliders are airplanes, but not all airplanes are gliders.
YES, we own both the gliders and the southern flying squirrel, and the squirrel is by far way easier. That's because gliders are native to Australia and should not be kept as exotic pets.
No, sugar gliders do not have jobs.
