It is not a good thing. Too many people today are being found innocent. And FYI I am a person who's mother was murdered and I still don't feel that her killer should die at the hands of our court system.It stops repeat offendingIn some cases it is good in others it is bad. Some research says it is racist and sexist. Others say it is beneficial. In one way capital punishment is bad because it takes many innocent peoples lives. In other ways its good because it ride our world of people who could potentially hurt innocent victims. The percentage of Caucasian victims vs. African American victims of murders punishable by the death penalty is 15% African American victims of murder and 76% Caucasians. This research is not super recent but recent enough.
