Japanese poets use a "saijiki" or season word almanac to check the seasonal association for key words that they might use in a haiku
Seasons can be represented in Haikus, but not all Haikus are about seasons...
The easiest I think to write about is poo and terd and all of that stuff because you can say what you think and you can write about so much different stuff in limericks and haikus even though haikus are meant to be about nature. Anyway I hope this helps on some sort of level. :)

Whatever you can think of in 14 syllables. Poetry is about using ones imagination or experiences. Basically it is whatever you want your Haiku to be about. There are no guidelines or set standards for creating.
