When asked why you think you "Deserve" this job?, you can safely conclude that the interviewer has placed "ego" before "qualifications" and that the interviewer is not competent to be hiring you to begin with. this insight into the psychology and lack of intellectual capacity of your interviewer can be helpful through the rest of your interview.
The appropriate question would be, Why do you think your "Qualified" for this job? if you are actually asked in the form of "Deserve", then you can safely deduce that your qualifications have little to do with whether your getting hired or not.
I have hired hundreds of employees over the years and have never asked an applicant what they thought they "Deserved". What they think they deserve has nothing to do with the job. Qualifications and ability to perform has everything to do with the job, educational degrees being handed out like candy to anyone willing to set in class for a few years are the last thing I consider when hiring someone.
AnswerTell the interviewer why you want the job, not saying 'because I want money'. Then tell them about your past jobs that are close to this one. And last tell them about your qualifications, degrees, experience, etc.

It is intended to get you to talk about yourself in an informal way and to help the interviewer to make an evaluation.
As you are the only one that can answer such questions you should think carefully about such questions beforehand. This is the part of the interview where you can sell yourself.
Do not just repeat the same lines you have read in a book or online, the interviewer will know all those answers.
