There are many types of conectors avaliable. Some alum. and other conectors are ratted for both alum. and copper wire. It is easier and cost efective to stock only one type rather than two. Always use a conector ratted for the size and type of wire that you are using. Your suplier should be able to help you determine the proper conector. If not get a licensed electrician to help. What is the difference between steel toe and aluminum toe shoes?

Both steel toe and aluminum toe shoes meet or exceed the ASTM standards for impact and compression testing of I-75/C75. The main difference between steel toe and aluminum toe shoes is the weight. Aluminum toe shoes are lighter than steel toe shoes.

What device enables users to join two connectors that are both female or both male?

gender changer

How many types of gender?

Two, male and female. Connectors with prongs are called male gender and those with holes female gender plugs. When you push them together they slot into each other allowing signals or current to flow. There are even connectors which have both prongs and holes and these are called bi-gender connectors. Being an inncoent young man I cannot for the life of me understand how the names came about.

Which cable connector type commonly supports both digital and analog video signals?

Both common 'TV Coax' and 'Type F' cable connectors are commonly used to support both digital and analog video signals. Plain TV coax connectors (male and female) can easily be taken apart by anyone without having to use any tools, so they are commonly used for making simple cable connections for tv antennas and digital tv set-top boxes. Type F (male and female) connectors use screw threads so that, by using simple tools such as wrenches and/or hand pliers, they can be tightened-up too hard to be loosened and disconnected by hand. That is why Type F connectors are regularly used for making signal connections for cable and satellite tv systems and for computer broadband cable systems.

Can a Auto transformer have more load losses than its no load losses?

Power transformers have both no load and full load losses. The key is copper wiring, as copper varies with the square inches of the secondary and primary currents.

Yes, the compression fittings designed for copper work on both soft and hard copper pipes.

Why is copper pennies and aluminum foil defined as elements?

Both copper and aluminum are elements in the period table of elements. Copper (Cu) is atomic number 29 and aluminum (Al) is atomic number 13.

What characteristic of copper and aluminum causes the to be good conductors what is the effect?

They are both metals. The effect is that copper is more safer than aluminum. From Leah :)

How is copper used in in cars?

Copper is used in motors, brakes, wiring, radiators, connectors, and bearings in both cars and trucks.

Are copper and aluminum pure?

Yes. They are because they are both metal.

Are Copper radiator vs aluminum radiator for cooling?

Aluminum radiators are lighter and cool almost as good as a copper/brass unit does. If they are both new then copper is going to cool better ,but the aluminum is up to 60% lighter.

Why electric wires made up of copper or aluminium?

Probably not. Both gold and aluminum have poorer conductivity than copper. If copper is rated at 100, then aluminum is 57 and gold is 65. Gold is sometimes used to electroplate electronic connectors, not so much because of is conductivity, but because it is so resistant to oxidation. Aluminum is a good choice where weight is a factor, such as in high-voltage transmission lines. Other than in a few special cases, copper is the better material for electrical wiring.

What is it called when both aluminum and copper can be used for making wire?

an alloy

How do you connect copper pipe on new faucet to poly pipe plumbing?

There are lots of ways. Simplest way - flexible coupling with appropriate connectors at either end, usually a compression joint or push-fit barbed connection of different sizes for both pipes.

How are a copper wire and aluminum foil alike?

negative charges can't move through them

Is is silver a better conductor than copper?

Silver is the best conducting metal, both thermally and electrically. It is followed by Copper, then Gold, then Aluminum.
