Disk Scheduling and Task Scheduler and different terms.
Disk Scheduling: Input / Output Scheduling or I/O Scheduling is a term used to describe the method computer operating systems decide the order that block I/O.
Task Scheduler: Task Scheduler is a component of Microsoft Windows that provides the ability to schedule the launch of programs or scripts at pre-defined times or after specified time intervals. It was first introduced in the Windows 95 Plus! pack as System Agent [1] but was renamed to Task Scheduler in Windows 98. The Windows Event Log service must be running before the Task Scheduler starts up.
why we use disk scheduling in c ?

Windows 7 and Windows XP are operating systems. You cannot format operating systems. But you can format your hard disk or hard drive. You can use Windows XP bootable CD to format HDD, but you will have to use Windows 7 Bootable Installation disk to install OS on your formatted drive.
No there isn't. You can still access the Command Line through the various Windows operating systems, if there is anything needed to be done that way.
Disk operating system DOS is a computer operating system using line instruction. For a computer system use disk drive as secondary memory. A Windows system is a computer operating system with Graphic User Interface GUI instead of line instruction. There is no difference between them other than what the vendor or creator wants it to be. A disk operating system is a system based on being run from a disk drive. Typically disk operating systems were single user and single task systems. Predecessors to DOS used cards, magnetic or paper tape as as input, output or main storage device. Successors that relinquished the DOS title had multiprocessing, multiuser, realtime or windowing capabilities and were given other names such as OS/360, RT-11, Windows, multics, unix, linux and more. All modern systems are disk based, unless they use solid state drives (SSD), so all are disk operating systems. Microsoft windows as well as unix, linux, OpenVMS all have a windows interface so they can all be windows operating systems but only microsoft makes that claim.
DOS is not necessary for computers. Lots of computers do not use DOS. What is necessary is an operating system. It is software that enables your computer to work and enables other software to run on a computer. There are many kinds of operating systems used on different types of computers. DOS (Disk Operating System) is just one operating system that was very common on PCs. Modern PCs do not use DOS now. Other types of computers use other operating systems and never used DOS.DOS is not necessary for computers. Lots of computers do not use DOS. What is necessary is an operating system. To install two separate operating systems you will have to create separate partions on the hard disk. You then install each operating system in it's own partion and use a boot loader such as GRUB to select which system you want to boot, some operating systems might include their own boot loader during the installation.
Single-user multitask operating systems are also known as network operating systems
A disk operating system is usually abbreviated as DOS. It refers to operating system software but can refer to the entire operating system. One type is the Commodore that was on ROM chips in the disk drives while others were stored on a disk that had to be loaded for use. Others include MS-DOS and PC DOS from Microsoft.

Not explicitly. If you already own a legal copy of a commercial operating system, you can use it in VirtualPC. You can also use free operating systems like Linux or FreeBSD.
