Newton had the advantage of being born later in the same year that Galileo died. He therefore had more opportunities to make scientific discoveries based on what earlier scientists had found.

Newtons discoveries allowed him to explain, among other things, that the planets follow Kepler's laws through the law of gravity and the laws of motion. Other than tiny adjustments from the General Theory of Relativity, Kepler's model is the one still in use today.

Father of modern and classical physics?

There isn't one father of physics, there were many important physicists through the ages, each redefining the concepts we know today. We can point to some of the more noticeable physicists, who are, perhaps - Aristotle, Galileo, Newton and Einstein. There are many sites and books which can explain exactly who these people are and what their input to physics was.

Why can't a rocket in space accelerate to the speed of light?

As far as we understand physics today, we won't ever be able to get to the speed of light. The faster you go, the harder it gets to go any faster. So that last little fraction will "always" remain impossible - or at least until someone invents a whole new branch of physics.

What is the Principle of Uniform Processes?

The Principle of Uniform Processes states that the same processes acting on the earth today have acted on the earth throughout its history. It states that laws of physics and chemistry have not changed through time. Therefore, the processes that work today on the earth has always been acting, although not necessarily at the same rates that they do now.

How was sir isaac newtons inventions used?

His inventions are still used today. For example, his calculus is a complicated math problem or formula that is commanly used. Also, his three laws of motion created many breakthroughs that enable scientists to do their jobs creating better technology today.

How did Michael Faraday's work affect our live today?

he made manycontributions to physics such as when he discovered electromagnetic induction. These discoveries helped with the development of electric motors and power generation. he also discovered benzene and chloride on the periodic table of elements.

It is because he is the "father", if you will, of modern physics. While many of theories may be inaccurate, it is because of him that physics is where it is today.
