because they're the people who are closest to you and feel that they can be most honest and comment on things you may not want commented on, equally being the closest people to you means that when there is friction it is multiplied due to how close you all are.
Something to keep in mind though is that if they're being genuinely horrible to you, they might not be as good friends as you may have originally thought :/
