Answers that are nonsense, contain personal information, inappropriate language or otherwise violate the terms of use are flagged automatically by the system and removed or edited.
Questions that receive no answers or for which no answer was chosen as best on Yahoo Answers are removed after a certain number of days to keep server space free for active questions and answers. It is a form of site editing they employ.
They were available on the website but my prof said teachers were complaining about the answers being available so the site removed them
if you want to be removed from the answer list you have to be answered haha
If your answers are being erased it is because they are wrong or inappropriate. They are wasting the time of anyone that is reading them and of the supervisors that have to clean them up.
If the answer is nonsense, gibberish, vandalism, spam. etc. it is removed. If a good answer has wrong information in it, the wrong information is removed, but the correct information is left. Often, the answer is improved to add additional reliable information. If a user repeatedly gives answers like "I don't know" or vandalizes answers (like adding gibberish or nonsense, offensive comments, etc.), the user is warned that continuing to give poor answers may result in being banned from using the site. If the user continues after being warned, the user is, indeed, banned.
Content is occasionally removed from WikiAnswers when it is deemed inappropriate or illegal.
If someone puts a 'creepy' answer, you can Flag it. Staff or Supervisors reviews the Flag. Inappropriate answers are removed.
