This is a signal that you most likely have a bad solder joint in your component. If both speakers are failing to play, then the issue is actually at the stero end. If only one speaker is doing this, then most likely the problem is at the speaker, but it could still be at the stereo itself. The reason it works when it is hot is that the heat causes the metal in the solder or immediate component to expand thus completing the circuit. As it cools off the circuit is broken again because the metal has contracted and is no longer making a complete circuit.
If Bose brand speakers do not work outside perhaps they are too far away from the source. Bose outside speakers also require Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for them to work properly.
Crazy as it sounds. I've found this on my 07 new body style silverados. Its all the speakers. You can fit 6.5" speakers in the front and in the back doors on the extended cab models. Just replace the speakers and it'll work fine.
nothing is wrong about speakers beside they all are terrible do not buy speakers that are black the sound doesnt work...buy beats speakers in white its the only way to have good sound.....small disadvantage would be that you need speakers that match your amp. So you can have very expensive amp with very expensive speakers sounding worst then cheaper combination
I think so, but some can be defaulted and not work. :)
There are many of these websites, although only some of them work outside the United States.
Yes, there are wireless speakers that will work outside. Try Audio Unlimited Wireless Speakers .

The rear speakers are the same size of the front. 6.75" but 6.5" will work also
ive had the same problem. my rear speakers are heat senritive. they only work when the sun is shinning down. dont understand why this happens tho.
According to http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/GM-Wiring.pdf the connector for the rear speakers is separate from the front speakers. If the connector for the rear speakers is loose or disconnected, the rear speakers would not work while the front ones will. The amp in the head unit (dashboard radio) powers the front door speakers. The rear door speakers and roof (pillar) speakers in the rear are powered by a second amp under the drivers seat. Either this amp is bad or is not hooked up.
4" fronts. You would need to get some 4"T speakers for the fronts unless you want to do a little custom work, and even still, you may only be able to attach two mounting screws. In the rear are 5.25" speakers and a few '91 4Runners had a tweeter as an option in the rear corners of the vehicle.
Any set of good speakers will work great with an Ipod. It's only a source. If your speakers work well with your stereo they'll be great with an Ipod.
You have to go in from the trunk and work upside down.
You either have accidentally Disconnected the Wires to the rear speaks or you have the Fade on the radio set to the front.
6 inch. Shallow 6 1/2" speakers will work, as I'm not aware of any 6" after market speakers.
shoud be 6.75 in door 6.5 will work and 4x6 in rear
hook the speaker wires up to them and turn the volume up.
