i just got 8 spacers in and when they put them it kinda feels like someone is pulling your teeth out or to me it felt like someone was digging into my gums. the pain should go away very soon after they put them in. your teeth may be sore the next day, like mine were. it may hurt to eat hard food so i would recommend eating softer foods. the most annoying thing about them is the feeling that you have food in between your teeth. hope this helped!

Well I think that they only really feel uncomfortable right after they get put in, but other than that, no they do not hurt.

How do you floss with spacers?

With spacers, you can floss normally, but defonatly DO NOT floss between the teeth that you have spacers in , because they will be fulled out and then you will have to get them replaced again. Just wait until they have been taken out to floss between those teeth.

When can dental spacers be removed?

Dental spacers can be removed once the teeth for which the dental spacers were placed have sufficiently erupted into the spaces provided by the spacers. Your dentist or orthodontist can tell you if this has occurred.

IS there a way to make your teeth not hurt with spacers?

How much does it cost to have a teeth spacer?

nothing. the cost is the thing you do after spacers.

Can you wear spacers and braces at the same time?

Well I believe you do have to get spacers before braces. The spacers are used to separate, or space out, the teeth. Where these spacers are, the bands for your braces will go.I didn't have to get spacers before my braces. Some people do some people don't my friend she did not have to get spacers only braces.

What are teeth spacers?

They're rubber bands that separate you teeth so you'll have more room when you get braces on. You will usually have them on for a week then you get braces. If you have any questions about it, call your orthadontist for all the info you need about spacers or your braces.

What do spacers feel like?

Spacers feel like you have a piece of meat or popcorn wedged between you teeth! DO NOT try to floss it out (it will be almost impossible anyhow!) About 6-10 hours after you have your spacers put in, you will befin to feel teeth movement. Any discomfort should go away after a couple of days.

Do spacers in the teeth hurt?

No, spacers in your teeth don't hurt at all and if they do, they will go away in a few minutes. While spacers are being put in your teeth it feels like someones pulling your teeth out. But that really does not hurt, it may hurt a few seconds but it go away as fast as you can say ouch. You will have to get used to the way it feel and that only takes a few minutes and you wont even know they are there! After a few hours it feels a little weird because it means that they are separating your teeth and it doesn't hurt much but just a tiny bit. Before I got my spacers in my mouth i had to get little rubber bands in between my molars to create space for the spacers . And those hurt terribly . getting braces hurts and getting them tightened hurts. idk yet about the actual spacers cus i haven't got them in my mouth yet. but my best suggestion to you is take Tylenol because your gonna need it !

What is the blue ring the dentist put it in between of my teeths?

What can you eat with teeth spacers?

Yes it's perfectly fine to eat when you have spacers, if you have spacers and do't eat you'll starve! because you cant take them out, only your orthodonist can. Unless you really work at snapping it but don't.

You had your spacers for about 36 hours and had them removed will your teeth shift back to their original spots you decided not to get braces?

Yes. Removing the spacers early and without placing the orthodontic bands will result in the teeth returning to their original positions in a very short time.

Do you really need braces if you don't need spacers?

It all depends on the space between your teeth.
