most of the time it is because the heayer core is leaking allowing steam from the coolant escape to the interior of the vehicle.
That is not the correct answer. If a heater core were leaking, there would be antifreeze on the floor of the vehicle and you could smell it. The condensation in from natural evaporation of dampness in the car. In the Winter this often happens because there is water in or on the floor mats from snow and ice. Turn the AC on and turn UP the temperature like you were turning up the heat. That will take the moisture out of the air in the vehicle and help dry the floor.
heater core is going bad.
you probably have a bad heater core.
Yes, it is very possible that a heater coil is clogged up or even needs replaced if the windows are fogging up. An auto parts store can give you the price for a new heater coil.
If the heater core is ok, check to insure your ac unit is working. The ac works in conjunction with the heat when running defrost, and without the ac air windows will fog up .
heater core leak
Not much detail to go on but the first thing that came to my mind was a leaky heater core. A leaky heater core will fog up the windshield big time.
Turn the conditioner when you are using the heater. It will decrease the humidity level (which causes windows to fog up.)
the heater core will need to be replaced with a new one. go buy a book and plan on spending a complete saterday on it.
Your windows fog up horribly and sometimes you can hear what sounds like water running through your dash when your driving.
No the blend door not functioning will not cause fog; it may however prevent the windows from being defogged or defrosted. If the widows only fog up when the defroster is on, then you either have a coolant leak in the heater core or your air conditioner compressor isn't working (the AC is used to dry the air when the heat is on).
It will fog up with moisture, the inside windows in the car, also accompanied with the sweet odor of coolant.
Have it checked out. YYou may have controler problems. Try the blower motor More than likely, you have a bad heater core.
