They do. But they are hot-wired to like human blood cuz their DNA is made for "reproduction" and to them that means infecting peoples. So they will occasionally eat an animal but most often feed on humans.

∙ 13y agoZombies do not actually need to eat brains to survive. It is an instinctive response to further spread the zombie virus. They crave human brains or flesh so they attack the living, bite them, and spread the virus to a new host.
