Idle is computer controlled and can NOT be adjusted.
you can not as it is adjusted by the computor.
My 89 jeep Cherokee surges at idle and sometimes stalls but runs fine once you are going what could cause this?

My best guess is that the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve may need to be replaced.
Idle is not adjustable. You have a electrical or vacuum issue that needs diagnosed.
You shouldn't have to, check for vacuum intake leaks
