yes you do have to be a contourcionist to work under the dash of a jeep,I have an 88 wrangler. I have to take the drivers seat out and lay on my back and feel my way to the brake lite switch as it is above the steering colunm.I believe yours is below the colunm

The airbag system is not a diy repair. Have a qualified mechanic check codes and diagnose.
Make sure your brake lites work.If they dont replace brake lite switch
Just check your brake lite switch which is located at the brake pedal the switch might be broken that is why your brake lite is always on.
Check ground. if that's ok, use a test lite to see if it is hot (hot wire). If it is, pump is shot.
The brake lite switch is right over the brake petal. It faces the driver. If you have Cruise on the truck, that switch is in the same spot. It will have a hose running off it. The brake lite switch only has wires.
Check the lite bulb it is OK check if there is power at the lite when you press peddle/lever.If no power check brake switches and fuses as well as connections on wires.
