Achilles wished for Thetis to get him new armor (which she did, getting Hephaestus to make it) he also wanted honor (which Thetis granted from Zeus's promise) she also kept the body of Patroklos whole and fresh until after Achilles could avenge him. In many ways she supported him to getting glory (although with the price of a short life).
Hector had killed Achilles' friend Patroclus.
Zeus was Kronos' son and Kronos did not want to be overthrown as king of the gods by Zeus.
Yes.
Sarpedon was his son.

The main thing Achilles reacted to was that Priam compared himself to Achilles father, saying that he would want his son's body back too. Achilles was also impressed because Priam had had the courage to just walk up to him, even though he realized Priam had some help of the gods (or maybe BECAUSE he realized that).

Well if you want the answer according to Homer, in the Illiad, Ares joined the Trojans on the battlefield outside Troy. With Athena's help the Greek hero Diomedes killed Ares with a javelin. Ares immediately returns to Mount Olympus, and is forbidden to return to the battlefield by Zeus who admonishes him for his bloodthirstiness. So the answer is Mount Olympus.
Breisis.

Thetis was a nereiad, son of Nereus and Doris (another nereiad). She is an immortal, and doesn't die. She is a sea goddess, in charge of 50 other nereiads listed in Homer's The Iliad.Zeus & Poseidon both wanted her, but when Themis prophesied that her son would become greater than his father, both brothers made a pact that Thetis would not marry an immortal so that the strife of her son would be displaced from Olympia to Earth. She was married against her will to the mortal Peleus, and their son was Achilles, arguably the hero of The Iliad. The golden apple debacle occured when Eris (the goddess of Strife) was not invited to the wedding, and concocted a scheme to get Athena, Aphrodite & Hera angry with each other. Zeus owed Thetis a favor since she unchained him when the other gods & goddesses were trying to overthrow him. She calls in that favor when Agamemnon insults Achilles by taking his prize, the girl Briseis. Zeus allows the Trojans to slaughter many Achaeans (Greeks) until they realize how desperate they are for Achilles' help, and beg him to return to the war. Many of these things can be read in The Iliad and in Robert Graves' The Greek Myths if you are want more details.

Yes.
Athena might want to fool Hector so that Achilles can strike and she wants the Greek's to win the war. She does this by pretending to be Hector's brother which gives Achilles time to strike.
