This question would suggest that Australia has one of the world's highest percentages of obese people. This is not the case. Australia is not even on the World Health Organisation's list of the world's top 10 "fattest" countries.
Figures from the 2004-2005 Australian National Health Survey indicated that 47% of Australians over the age of 15 were overweight, but only one-third of them were obese - which is roughly 18%.
As for why there are some obese people - this is largely the result of the influence of fast food restaurants in Australia.

49,760,000 people in America are obese, and I am not sure how much of that is adult but Im sure it is over half, so about 30,000,000.
36.9 in 2008 And 20% to 25% of Australia adults are obese, even more are seriously overweight. Since 1995 to 1997 the obese record has double.
About 60% of the country is overweight, 186,600,000 people; then around 27% of those people are obese (because then that would mean 87% of the country is not of normal weight which is incorrect, so take 27% of the 60%.) so 50,382,000 people in the US are obese.
Because they are lots of burger bars and diners in the US so people who eat lots are bound to become obese.
Many Americans now a days do not get enough exercise and do not eat healthy, resulting in obesity. However, just because a person is obese does not mean they are of extreme fatness or unhealthiness. There is a flaw in the BMI system, muscular people, when positioned right, are considered obese, and even tall people who are of a little overweightness are considered obese. So of the 30% of Americans that are obese, about 5-10% of the people fall into the flaw category, meaning really about 20-25% of Americans are obese due to fat.
Who knows. I can't believe they use all fat people. I think they are chasing the obese community in America. There are so many obese people that it is not such a bad business model.
They are weight classifications based on the BMI: (for an adult) >50 = "super obese" obese class 3 40-50 = "morbidly obese" obese class 2 35-40 = "severely obese" obese class 1 30-35 = "obese" 25-30 = "overweight" 18.5-25 = "normal weight" <18.5 = "underweight"
racial harmony is not in Australia because so many people are racist still
because they want to
There are no exact statistics but probably about 1 percent of the population has one which would be 20,000
because they are steroitypical. although i thinks so too. nearly every American i have met are obese or overweight
