Your heater Tap may be stuck open, take it to the garage mate
The flap is stuck open that controls when and where the heat goes
You need to replace the heater coil !
If you see coolant Inside the vehicle on the passenger side, The Heater Core would be the problem. If the leak is out side and you see a puddle on the ground below the engine from the passenger side, It can be a Water pump, Heater hose, Over flow from the Reservoir tank, or an intake manifold gasket. If the leak is more underneath the vehicle on the passenger side, It might be a Heater Hose and/or Heater Pipe which supplies the rear heater with coolant (if the vehicle is equipped with rear heat) .
When i disconnect my battery and reconnect it and then turned my heat on it works for a minute. And then it seems like it makes heat on the driver side and air-conditioning on the passenger side. It has climate control for the passenger.
have your heater core checked its probually leaking
It is possible for hot air to be coming out of the driver's side and cold on the passenger's side if there is a dual temperature control on the heater/AC unit. Try adjusting the temperature controls to see if that fixes the problem.
passenger side temp acuator has gone bad
Could the heater door actuator be bad? What is the cost to replace? This Grand Prix has a dual-zone climate control and when the AC is on, the passenger side vents often change to heat when the control is still on cold.
your blend door which cost about $1000-1500
The heater coil is leaking. Water from the cooling system runs through the heater coil to heat the passenger compartment. Antifreeze is corrosive, some heater coils are thin.
Easiest way to fix the problem is to flush your heater core with distilled water. If this does not work you will have to take it in to have the actuator door on the driver side replaced which will cost you around $150. More times than not it is fixed by the flushing.
